The Women's Mental Health Network (WMHN) invites you to attend a webinar which explores compassion and restoration from 10am on Friday, 4 December.
The WMHN is a network of people and organisations with a committed interest in women’s mental health issues, developed through a collaboration between the National Women's Council and St Patrick's Mental Health Services. Its second online event of 2020, this free webinar will offer an opportunity to reflect on how our ways of living and working have changed over recent months, and how we respond to this and renew ourselves in minding our mental health.
Dr Katie Baird will present on Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Compassionate Mind Training. Dr Baird is a practising compassion-focused therapist, and the founder of the Irish Centre for CFT. She will offer a variety of ways to think from a compassionate perspective, as well as practices to cultivate compassion in our personal and professional lives.
Attendees and WMHN members are also invited to tell of strategies and resources that have helped to sustain them over recent months, both in their practice and their own lives, which will be shared during the webinar. If you would like to share something as part of this, please email maryh@nwci.ie.
The event is free to attend, but registration is essential. If you are attending and have any special requirements, such as Irish Sign Language interpretation, please email Susan McCormack at susanmcc@nwci.ie by 30 November to help with preparations for the webinar.
If you have any questions about this webinar or about the WMHN, please email our Advocacy Manager, Louise O'Leary, at loleary@stpatsmail.com.
