Returning home and working in Ireland brings you closer to family and friends, who you may not have seen in some time. Having that close support system is important for work/life balance so that, while you work hard in your career, you have the right people around you for when you need to unwind.
Ireland has an excellent reputation for healthcare and is the perfect setting to continue in your nursing career. Working as a nurse is a rewarding experience and, here in SPMHS, we truly value the time and energy put in by our nurses: we are proud to reward and commend that hard work.
We are the largest independent, not-for-profit mental health service in Ireland, with a leading reputation for high-quality care and innovation in Ireland and internationally.
We have a strong focus on staff career development, offering promotional prospects into nursing management roles, and provide a welcoming, nurturing environment for our nursing staff.
Working with us will give you the flexibility to resume and grow your career back home, while also settling back into life in Ireland.
What kind of services do we provide?
We work to provide the highest quality mental healthcare to people who are experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, including eating disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, psychosis and many others.
We provide inpatient care in our central Dublin locations through St Patrick’s University Hospital; St Patrick’s Hospital Lucan (St Edmundsbury); and Willow Grove Adolescent Unit. Through our Homecare Service, service users can also receive inpatient-level care remotely in their own homes. We offer day patient services through our Wellness and Recovery Centre and community and outpatient care through our Dean Clinics, as well as remote access to our services.
