Jonathan Swift (1667-1745) was the writer of the 'best satire in world literature' and the founder of St Patricks University Hospital. Our atmospheric tour will explore Swift's Dublin and his legacy, in the environs of the hospital grounds. The tour will feature some of the Hospital's collection of paintings, Swifts Writing Bureau and culminate in the showing of a reconstructed patient's cell from the 1750s. Led by theatre maker Alice Coghlan of Wonderland Productions, who has adapted Swift for the stage, this tour will explore the Dublin of the hospital's famous founder and his legacy.
Culture Night, 21st September, at 6.30pm and 8pm.
Refreshments will be provided. No booking required for this event, just turn up!
