St Patrick’s Mental Health Services will be removing our referrals fax machine shortly.
We wish to inform GPs and healthcare professionals that, from 6 December 2024, we will no longer be accepting referrals or any related communications through fax.
This change is part of our ongoing efforts to improve our referrals processes. It reflects both the very low proportion of referrals we receive by fax and the technical difficulties in maintaining a fax machine service due to the technology now being outdated.
Making referrals
Please note that all our other referral pathways remain unchanged.
Referrals can still be submitted:
- Electronically through Healthlink or GP Practice Management System
- By secure email through Healthmail
- By post.
Sending attachments through Healthlink
We would also like to let GPs and healthcare professionals aware that it is now possible to send attachments to us through Healthlink.
This feature can be used to support a referral or provide additional details to assist in the referral process.
Contacting our referrals team
You can see more information on our referral pathways here. We also have text and video guides to making e-referrals here.
