St Patrick’s Mental Health Services calling for the nation’s support in raising mental health awareness
St Patrick’s Mental Health Services has today announced ‘A Single Step Leads to the Biggest Change’ the campaign which aims to encourage people to take positive steps to improve their mental health. St Patrick’s Mental Health Services is committed to ensuring that those who experience mental health difficulties receive the best opportunity to take steps to recover and live fulfilled lives and that, right across the community, people are educated and empowered to look after their mental health. The road to recovery starts with a single step.
St Patrick’s Mental Health Services is calling on the nation to get on board and show their support for #ASingleStep, encouraging people to take positive action to better mental health by sharing a video of themselves doing very simple dance steps and sharing across social media – anything from an Irish jig to a moonwalk, a salsa, even a waltz - anything goes!
RTE star Bláthnaid Treacy, Dancing with the Stars professional Karen Byrne, social media sensation James Patrice and renowned Dancing with the Stars judge Brian Redmond have shown their support for this very important campaign so far – check out #ASingleStep on social media for some inspiration.
St Patrick’s Mental Health Services is Ireland’s largest independent not-for-profit mental health service provider. Working from the main location at James’ Street Dublin, and from a number of other centres and clinics in Dublin and around the country, the organisation has developed a strong reputation for the provision of the highest quality mental healthcare. The services are grounded in a human rights recovery ethos, empowering service users to control and guide their own treatment and mental healthcare. The vision for St Patrick’s Mental Health Services is for a society where all citizens are empowered and given the opportunity to look after their mental health.
