Depression Recovery Programme: Clinical Outcomes

The Depression Recovery Service offers a group-based stepped care treatment programme in line with international best practice guidelines. The programme has 2 levels: Level A (Activating Recovery) is facilitated two days per week for three weeks. Level B (Building Recovery - CBT and Compassion Focused Therapy Workshops) is facilitated one day per week for twelve weeks. Two well established outcome measures were used to investigate the effectiveness of both levels of the programme at reducing symptoms of depression. Both measures showed significant reductions in service users’ mean scores following completion of level A and level B of the programme.
