Kickstart your nursing career with SPMHS

SPMHS is Ireland’s largest independent, not-for-profit mental health service provider. We are hiring mental health nurses to join our team to work with both adult and adolescent services. If you are newly-graduated and looking for a position, or studying nursing and looking for somewhere to complete your third-year placement, SPMHS is the place to get your career started.

When you are starting your nursing career, getting experience in as many different areas and with as many different disciplines as possible is important to you to allow you to grow and develop.

By joining us as a student or graduating nurse, you will have the benefit of working in positions for various programmes which specialise in a specific mental health condition, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, psychosis recovery, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, young adults’ mental health, older adults’ mental health, alcohol and chemical dependency and psychiatry in later life.

Working across different areas of mental healthcare in this way allows you to further your knowledge and skillset, which will help you progress in your continuing professional development (CPD).

Working with us also allows for proactive career planning within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) setting, access to funding to pursue your postgraduate education, and access to external and in-house CPD training.
