Service updates for GPs

St Patrick’s Mental Health Services (SPMHS) continues to provide a high level of service to people requiring mental health treatment. We regularly share information about our services with GPs and healthcare professionals to keep you informed of the services we offer.

SPMHS provides inpatient care across three locations: St Patrick’s University Hospital, Dublin 8; Willow Grove Adolescent Unit, Dublin 8; and St Patrick’s, Lucan. In addition, SPMHS is also continuing to provide remote access to the highest quality mental healthcare for anyone requiring inpatient and outpatient care and treatment.

The SPMHS Homecare Service consists of the highest levels of one-to-one support provided remotely through daily or more frequent contact. Inpatient referrals to SPMHS will be offered homecare admissions on a case-by-case basis.

Through the Dean Clinics network, SPMHS offers a network of community-based clinics aiming to make mental health services accessible to every area of Ireland. Outpatient appointments continue to be delivered online and over the phone.

Day service programmes continue to be provided remotely using Microsoft Teams. Programmes and therapies that SPMHS offers as day programmes can be found here.

If you have any queries regarding a referral to our services, please contact the Referral and Assessment Service on 01 249 3635.
