GPs advised to check Healthmail following filtering issue

We have learned that, in some cases, emails sent by St Patrick's Mental Health Services (SPMHS) to Healthmail email addresses are marked as spam due to a new filtering feature from Healthmail. While the issue has been resolved, we suggest that GPs check Healthmail spam folders to release any emails directed there in error.

Email accounts from St Patrick’s Mental Health Services using @stpatsmail.com addresses are securely connected to the Health Service Executive (HSE) Healthmail. GPs can use secure email rather than fax to send clinical information securely to any user@stpatsmail.com email address; using Healthmail to send information rather than fax ensures data security and patient confidentiality.

If you do not have Healthmail, you can sign up for free at the Healthmail website, where, if you have any queries on this service, you will also find a list of frequently asked questions.

Please note that it has been brought to our attention that, in some cases, emails sent by SPMHS email accounts to Healthmail email addresses were marked as spam due to a new filtering feature from Healthmail. While the issue has been resolved, we suggest that you check spam folders in your Healthmail account in case emails arrived here in error.

Please be assured that this has not affected any emails sent to SPMHS by Healthmail accounts.
